Ø A.S. Dulat, former chief of India’s external intelligence agency
Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), has said that the head of the agency should
have an extended tenure, as it required a longer period to understand the job
thoroughly.
Ø India’s
ties with arch rivals Israel and Iran came into focus on Monday as External
Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj travelled to Israel while India maintained
silence on the landmark lifting of decades-old sanctions against Iran. Neither
Ms. Swaraj nor her Ministry has issued any official statement regarding the
final lifting of sanctions against Iran though India was among the first
responders when the “parameters of a comprehensive settlement” of the Iran
nuclear issue was announced on April, 2015 in Lausanne.
