Ø  While it is commonplace for people to fill up feedback forms at the time of exit interviews while leaving jobs or after having meals at a restaurant, in a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Tihar Central Jail has started the system of taking feedbacks from its prisoners, once when they get inside the jail and once when they exit.
Ø  The WHO warned that polio had re-emerged as a public health emergency after new cases began surfacing and spreading across borders from countries such as Syria and Pakistan.
Ø  Former chairman of the Tata Group Ratan Tata has received an honorary knighthood in recognition of the company’s heavy British investments and philanthropy.

Ø  Sandra Helen Robson- the first woman to have kayaked across Palk Bay, and the first ever person to circumnavigate Sri Lanka (from Talaimannar to Talaimannar) — both feats, she achieved recently as part of the Oskar Speck expedition.


Ø  Shasun Pharmaceuticals, acquired the global rights to develop and commercialise the 12-hour extended release analgesic tablets Ibuprofen from U.S.-based ScolorPharma along with those of pain killer Nuprin trademark for an undisclosed sum.
