12 June 2014: J K Rowling is a new face of Better Togather campaign in UK

Ø  The ‘Better Together’ campaign, which wants Scotland to remain within the United Kingdom, has landed the biggest endorsement that any popular movement could hope for. J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, is Scotland’s very own international celebrity with a name that resonates in all parts of the globe. Ms. Rowling has also announced a donation of £1 million to the campaign. There are less than 100 days left for the referendum on Scottish independence.

Ø  Internet search provider Google has entered into an agreement to buy satellite maker Skybox for $500 million in cash. The deal is expected to make the search engine giant to serve as a launching pad to send its own satellite to take aerial pictures and provide online access to remote areas of the world. Skybox’s satellites will help keep Google Maps accurate with up-to-date imagery, the Silicon Valley-based company said in a statement.
