20 JULY 2014:A new Blackbuck habitat identified

Ø  A team of researchers has identified what appears to be a thriving habitat for the endangered blackbucks at Thaiyur, a village off Rajiv Gandhi Salai beyond Kelambakkam. The scrub forests on both sides of the Thaiyur – Chengalpattu Road have more than 300 blackbucks.

Ø  The world famous Jaipur Foot will launch a centre in Mauritius. The centre will be located at Port Louise in collaboration with Global Rainbow Foundation, an organisation that works for the disadvantaged and the physically-challenged, and provides them with medical aid.
