Ø The Centre plans to set up helipads along the national highways to airlift people injured in road accidents, according to a senior
National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) official here. The facility will
also be useful to provide alternative travel option to VIPs travelling on the
expressway to reach their destinations faster.

was declared a winner in the New Age Album category. Vaswani won the trophy in
the Best Children’s Album category for I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up For Education And Changed
The World .
In the album, she narrated the audio version of the book.
Ø The Gujarat government reinstated suspended IPS officer P.P. Pandey, who recently got bail in the
Ishrat Jahan encounter case. The State government has revoked the
suspension of P.P. Pandey and is pleased to appoint him on the vacant cadre
post of Additional Director-General of Police (Law and Order), Gujarat, Gandhinagar.
Mr. Pandey was the Joint Commissioner of Police when the 2004 encounter took
place. He was suspended in August 2013 following his arrest in the case four
months after he was proclaimed an absconder. He was holding the rank of ADGP at
the time.
Ø The Rajasthan Government and Adani Enterprises Ltd., signed a memorandum
of understanding (MoU) for developing solar parks with a capacity of 10,000 MW
in the next ten years.
